PEG-MGF (Pegylated Mechano Growth Factor) is a modified form of MGF, which itself is a naturally occurring isoform of Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 (IGF-1). It is produced in response to mechanical stress or muscle damage and is believed to play a role in activating satellite cells and supporting tissue repair mechanisms.
The PEGylation (attachment of polyethylene glycol chains) significantly increases the compound’s stability and circulation time compared to standard MGF, making it a subject of interest in experimental and laboratory research.
PEG-MGF is not an approved medication for therapeutic or human clinical use and is generally sold strictly for research purposes. Its safety profile, long-term effects, and clinical efficacy in humans have not been established.
